Here we are. On the brink of change. Against the grain. Outside of the norm.
The oldest is starting….
I was not willing to compromise on how I feel. I’ve been preparing for almost six years to choose the best route for my children. I’ve researched, studied and planned. I’ve had my heart set on it for so long.
Four months ago we filled out paperwork for our local school district. A school district we chose to live in should we need public school. It’s a great district but it still wasn’t what we wanted. I walked in, handed in the paperwork, turned around and started crying before I even made it to the car.
Since then I’ve been praying about it. Asking God to guide us toward the best decision. Hubs & I sat down to talk about it. I told him I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen and that I’m not willing to compromise on the schooling. He looked me in the eye and said we’d make it work.
I immediately felt a relief, a mountain of stress gone! The next day we enrolled online. Since then things have been working out to our advantage! His college schedule has worked our perfectly with two online courses opening up so he only has to physically go to the school one day per week. I was offered more hours should I want them. I will be able to do that in the morning and e-school in the afternoon.
We were willing to stretch ourselves, willing to do whatever it took to do what we feel is right for us. The Lord opened doors because we weren’t willing to back down from what we believed.

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

So wonderful to see you and your husband stepping out in faith. God always makes a way!
Thank you so much! It was a huge decision but one that made us really feel better in the end.
So happy things are going to work for you dear! Some dreams are just worth fighting for.
