Cauliflower My Husband Will Eat!

This is no joke.   The man I married hates cauliflower.  And when I say hate, I mean he loathes it entirely (100 points if you can name that movie)! 

We’ve been on a buffalo chicken dip kick for a few months.  It’s so yummy and easy to make. 

I stumbled upon a recipe over at Skinnytaste.com.  

I printed it, saved it, and then finally bought some cauliflower and went to it.   I didn’t tell N that I was going to make it. 

He walked in the door and asked what smelled so fabulous.  Then I told him.  He immediately scrunched his nose at the dreaded word ‘cauliflower’ but decided to try them anyway. 

And…..

He loved them! 

Just in case your hubby (or kids) also have a strong dislike for cauliflower the recipe is below! 

Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites. 

 Start with 22oz of cauliflower florets.  Now, I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t measure this out. I bought two of them and that is what I used. 

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. 

You’ll need:

22oz. of cauliflower florets

1 cup of water

1 cup of flour

2 tsp. of garlic powder

3/4 cups of Franks Red Hot Sauce

1 tbs. of melted unsalted butter

Combine the water, flower, and garlic in a bowl. 

Once mixed, coat the florets with the flour mixture. 

Bake for 20 minutes.

Mix the Red Hot sauce and butter together. 

Once the cauliflower has baked for 20 minutes, pull it out. 

Cover with the Frank’s and butter mixture and bake for another 5 minutes. 

Allow to cool a little and serve with blue cheese dressing (celery, ranch dressing, extra hot sauce or whatever you may like)!

I am not lying when I say that he absolutely loved, loved, loved these.  He wants them made on a pretty regular basis and he even ate the leftovers the next day!!  

Give it a shot.  So yummy.  Sorry for the photos…I made these in a hurry and took them with my smaller, less fancy camera.  Not too bad though.
