A little about me.  Well.  Where to begin.

I’m a wife which means I rarely have free time.  You see my husband and I go way back. We love hanging out.  If we are both home, we end up migrating to hanging out together.  We pretty much get nothing done!

I’m also a mom to two beautiful growing-up-too-fast kids and two angel babies.  This means I’m an expert boo-boo kisser, dance-request taker, board-game player, belly-laugh lover, shoe-tier, and so on, and so forth.  Insert any of the million things you do for your kids each day — I do them too!

I’m a teacher by trade which I’m putting to good use by schooling at home right now.  I’m a blogger (but you already knew that since you are here).  I’m a cleaning lady (although not that great at it).   I’m a cook but that’s not my favorite.  I am a baker and learned everything I know from my dear grandma.  I’m a night nanny so many of my should-be-sleeping hours are spent in new-mom mode for another family.  I’m an Origami Owl consultant simply because I needed to get time out around some ladies!   I’m a photographer which I love because it’s just me and the camera.  I’m also a doTerra consultant which all began because of…well, you can read more about that here.  I’m also an employee. I work for a wonderful company but I work from home 90% of the time.

How many hats is that?  Too many to count.

Balance. Well it’s my word for 2013 but it’s now September and I have yet to master it.  Overstretched is one way to put it.  Overwhelmed is another.  I don’t do all of these things every day. Some how, some way, all of these things need to fit into the 168 hours I have every week.  It’s hard. It’s exhausting.  It’s what I need to do right now.

We moms do whatever it takes.  We do what we have to do.  We do it awesomely but those of us that do it from home also do it in the midst of interruption after interruption.  You may work because you want to.  You may do it because you have to.  You may do it because you are passionate about what you do.  You may do it to interact with adults.  I get it!!!

I’m excited to invite you to a new community of women just like you.  Like me.  Like my friend Kayse.  She and I are going to be leading a group called (in)terrupted.

(in)terrupted is a community group for work at home moms... moms who understand that being interrupted is the story of our lives! Whether it’s caring for our families, tending to our jobs, or attempting to grab a tiny piece of quiet time in the bathroom, our plans are often interrupted. But we take refuge in the One who directs all of our plans, who understands all that we juggle, and who is our constant source of strength. Will you join us??

(in)terrupted is one of MANY (in)courage community groups that are launching today! If you’d like to join ours, please click here to register. Once on the page, click on “add your link”, and fill out all of the required information. (Note :: You MUST register! Each group is capped at 30 women, and it’s first come, first served. So don’t wait!) Not a work at home mom? No problem! There are a TON of groups, and there’s one that is just right for you! Click here to see all of the different categories and groups offered. You’re sure to find one that fits your needs.

Please remember – each group can only accept 30 women, and in order to join a group, you MUST register!! So don’t wait – head on over and join a group today!! It will bless your socks off, I promise.  This is my first time leading a group for (in)courage and I am so stoked.  (Am I allowed to say stoked?!?  It’s probably out, right?)   I’m looking forward to leading this new group this year, and connecting with other work at home moms! So, are you in?  Don’t worry!  If (in)terrupted isn’t the right group for you, which group sounds like you? I’d love to hear where you end up!!
